2400lbs WLL
This Triple leg Oblong clamp 30-70 Lifting device has a working load limit of 2400lbs at any chain angle. This device is custom designed to lift Fisher Control actuators. Bearing Point to bearing point measures 36 1/2”. Notice, when the chains hang naturally, the middle clamp faces the opposite direction from the 2 outer clamps. (There is no twist in the chain in this scenario; if the 2 outer clamps are not facing the same direction, slide one leg around the oblong ring, so the center clamp is facing the opposite direction from the other two legs.) As delivered, the ID tag will be on the inside leg with the clamp that faces the opposite direction.
Open the clamps by turning the thumbscrews counterclockwise enough to allow the hole in the lower jaw to completely cover the protruding bolt and nut. Tighten thumbscrew until slight tension is applied to the top of the bolt. ONLY SLIGHT TENSION IS NECESSARY.
When using the sling to lift a valve assembly from horizontal to vertical, place the two outer legs on the actuator housing as close to the flat, pallet, or floor as possible. Place the third leg on the highest bolt and nut on the actuator. As you begin to lift, the 2 lower legs lift first, naturally stabilizing the actuator/valve assembly. If you have a powered trolley and bridge, remember to move the crane hook as the lift is being made, to keep the crane from being side pulled. If you do not follow this instruction, the assembly being lifted will swing in the direction of the side pull as it is lifted to vertical. This could cause damage to the assembly and could injure you or others.
When using the chain shorteners, always count the links and shorten each leg equally.
Chain shorteners give you the ability to lift in low headroom situations.
