Hoist Repair

Hi, our central Iowa Hoist community! A little update on us & one of the many things going on here in the shop. This 6 ton hoist is here for some repairs & a chain replacement. She’ll be good to go here in a day or so.

Unlike a lot of machinery these days, hoists are one of the few things built sturdy enough to last. And with a little TLC, you get even more years of use. If you are having any hoist issues or failures, consider giving us a quick call. Our professional technicians are some of the nicest guys you’ll meet, with an exorbitant amount of combined experience in the overhead crane & hoist industry. They are forthright, fair & caring people. The same qualities you’d look for in a new friend, we’ve got here. I can testify that they’ll save you time by being able to diagnose, isolate the issue/s and make the repair as expediently as possible.

LUBE!

Set aside the time to lube your chains & it will pay off… they’ll function better & you’ll actually extend your chain’s life by years. Lube not only makes the chain more visibly appealing and easier to inspect, it also helps with wear & supports the chain to articulate properly around the pocket wheel. Rust from an old chain can also collect in obscure areas within your hoist that, over time will compromise the mobility of various moving parts.

A great idea is to remind yourself by adding a “Lube the Chain” event to your phone’s calendar. Scroll down & add an alert & make it repeat every month. Someday this tip will save you money, down time & frustration….your welcome.
